Congratulations all of the players: Michael Burns, Nick Vonkrosigk, Josh Partee, Yasashi Masunaga, Ben Iddings, Ava Patel, Aiden Yeager The 14 & Under STC1 Team, captained by Tammy George and Angie Davis, defeated Quail Run Racquet Club 34-31!! Congratulations to all of the players: Aaron Davis, Cameron Davis, Noah George, Dakota Schroeder, Matt Correll, Kessler Hackenberger, Mira Patel, Gretchen Heffner, Shreaya Madireddy The other divisions were won by: 10 & Under Intermediate - Tom Harrison defeated Schroeder Tennis Center 40-26. 12 & Under - Quail Run Racquet Club defeated Kettering Tennis Center 35-28. 18 & Under - South Regency defeated Schroeder Tennis Center1 37-31. METKA WINS SINGLES KUMAR AND METKA WIN DOUBLES What a great weekend of tennis! The weather was a beautiful setting for some awesome tennis matches! We had a great turnout for the Mens Summer Bash Prize Money Tournament held on August 4-6. This was the toughest and strongest tournament STC has ever had! Kevin Metka, a former tennis player from Ohio State's #1 ranked team, defeated Mark Singnil from Toledo, Ohio 6-4, 6-4 in the singles tournament. Congratulations Kevin! Kevin Metka paired up with Ashwin Kumar, who formerly played #1 singles at Harvard University, for the doubles tournament. They defeated Kyle Collette (Findlay, Ohio) and Benton Benalcazar (Westerville, Ohio) with a score of 6-3, 7-5. Congratulations guys! AT THE WESTERN & SOUTHERN OPEN IN CINCINNATI AUGUST 18-19, 2017 USTA Wheelchair Tennis will have open clinic time during the W&S Open the weekend of August 18 and 19. You can test your skills against some of the Midwest players and participate in live ball drills! Also, STC's wheelchair pro Brian Dean will be one of the coaches at the clinic on Friday, August 18 from 1-4pm. On Saturday, August 19, he will be playing in the Up/Down Wheelchair Exhibition from 3-5pm.
